Our Philosophy

At Bethany Christian School, we believe that every child is uniquely created by God with a purpose and a God-given potential. Our mission is to partner with Christian families in providing a Christ-centered education that develops students spiritually, academically, socially, and morally.

We believe there are three essential components in the successful training and education of children: the home, the church, and the Christian school. When these three work together in harmony, students are equipped to become mature, responsible, and God-honoring men and women.

Parents

The primary responsibility for the training and education of children belongs to parents. Bethany Christian School seeks to support families who desire to raise their children according to Biblical principles and values.

Church

We strongly encourage families to be faithfully involved in a Bible-believing local church. A strong church foundation provides spiritual growth, accountability, and encouragement for both students and parents.

School

The Christian school serves as an extension of both the Christian home and church. Bethany Christian School works alongside families to provide academic excellence from a Biblical worldview.

Biblical Education

At Bethany Christian School, we recognize that Jesus Christ is the source of all truth and knowledge. Proverbs 10:14 teaches, “Wise men lay up knowledge.” Because God's Word is the foundation for life, Bible instruction is an important part of every student's education.

Students participate in Bible classes that include Bible study, Scripture memorization, Christian character development, and practical Biblical application. We utilize the trusted Abeka Bible Curriculum, developed by Pensacola Christian College.

All Bible classes and chapel services use the King James Version of the Bible.

Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten program utilizes the proven Abeka Curriculum and provides instruction in Bible, phonics, reading, handwriting, numbers, and mathematics.

Students develop a strong academic foundation while learning in a nurturing Christian environment. Our goal is to prepare each child for future academic success while fostering a love for learning.

Half-day Kindergarten is available for four-year-old students, with daycare services available for families needing a full-day program. Our K5 curriculum exceeds North Carolina educational requirements and provides excellent preparation for elementary school.

Elementary School (Grades 1–6)

At the elementary level, emphasis is placed on strong academic fundamentals and Christian character development. Students receive instruction through the Abeka Curriculum along with selected ACE curriculum materials.

A strong phonics-based reading program, traditional mathematics instruction, penmanship, science, history, and daily Bible study provide students with a well-rounded educational experience.

High standards, effective discipline, dedicated teachers, and active parental involvement help students develop diligence, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.

High School

The high school years are a critical time of spiritual, academic, and personal development. Bethany Christian School provides a Bible-based education that prepares students for future success while encouraging spiritual growth and Christian maturity.

Students are taught the importance of self-discipline, obedience, respect for authority, honesty, dependability, patriotism, and love for God and others.

Our academic program meets and exceeds North Carolina educational requirements while maintaining a distinctly Christian worldview throughout every subject area.

Admissions Policy

Bethany Christian School reserves the right to admit or dismiss students based upon its own criteria of spiritual commitment, academic performance, personal qualifications, and willingness to cooperate with school administration and abide by school policies and regulations.
